Художнє оформлення сцени. У центрі сцени плакати з прислів’ями, загадками та “золотими” правилами читача. Пропонуємо їх на вибір учителя.
“Golden rules”:
Treat books with care as good friends.
Do your best not to tear, spot, mark up or damage a book in any way.
Do not turn down a page to mark the chapter where you left off reading. Use a bookmark.
Ліворуч – портрети письменників, твори яких вивчаються на даному етапі, а тому знайомі учням: У.Шекспіра, Д.Байрона, Д.Лондона, Г.Уеллса, В.Скотта, Е.По.
Праворуч учнями оформляється виставка ілюстрацій до творів вище званих письменників, виконаних на великих аркушах паперу:
W. Shakespeare: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “Othello”, “Macbeth”, “Hamlet”, “Two Gentlemen of Verona”, “Much Ado about Nothing”, “King Lear”.
J. London: “Martin Eden”, “The White Fang”, “Love of life”, “The Iron Heel”.
H. Wells: “The First Men in the Moon”, “The War of the Worlds”, “The Time Machine”, “The Invisible Man”.
W. Scott: “Ivanhoe”, “Rob Roy”, “Quentin Durward”.
E. Po: “The Raven”, “Annabel Lee”, “The Fall of the House of Usher”, “The Oval Portrait”, “The Pit and the Pendulum”, “The Man of the Crowd”.
G. Byron: “Prisoner of Chillon”, “Don Juan”, “Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage”, “My Soul is Dark”, “Stanzas to Augusta”.
Зал прикрашається повітряними кульками та квітами. Звукове оформлення повинно бути пов’язане з темою турніру, створювати святкову атмосферу. Для проведення турніру пропонуємо музичні фрагменти до кінофільму “Ромео і Джульєта”.
Організаційна комісія обирає журі, до складу якого входять учителі, батьки, учні, а також розробляє критерії для оцінювання кожного конкурсу.
Привітання. Оцінюється зовнішній вигляд команд, відповідність виступу темі та його змістовність. Максимальна кількість балів - 3.
Розминка. Критерії оцінювання: ерудиція, гумор, мовна коректність. Максимальна кількість балів – 5.
Домашнє завдання. Враховується артистичність, звукове та художнє оформлення, мовленнєва компетенція, дотепність учнів. Максимальна кількість балів – 7.
Конкурс капітанів. Оцінюється гумор, знання літератури. максимальна кількість балів – 4.
Конкурс уболівальників. Враховується активність, ерудиція, дотепність. Максимальна кількість балів – 3.
За декілька днів до проведення гри організаційна група вивішує оголошення і тим самим запрошує всіх бажаючих відвідати конкурс.
Пропонуємо наступне оголошення:
У грі беруть участь 2 команди по 5-7 осіб. Команди придумують назву, емблему, привітання, обирають капітана. Кожній команді допомагають вболівальники, які теж обирають свого капітана.
За декілька тижнів до турніру команди, гравці та вболівальники отримують домашнє завдання.
Приклади домашнього завдання:
Підготувати плакати для вболівальників.
Підготувати ілюстрації до творів вищеназваних письменників.
Виготовити емблеми та придумати назви для команд.
Підібрати командну пісню.
Підготувати по 3 питання для команди супротивників.
Драматизувати за вибором уривок з твору E. Po “The Fall of the House of Usher”.
Хід проведення:
Ведучий турніру виходить на сцену.
Ведучий: Dear friends! Today we are glad to see you at our regular meeting of “Smart People Club”. Now I invite the members of each team to the stage. (Члени обох команд виходять на сцену).
Ведучий: Let me introduce the first team. Its name is “Merry Men”. The captain of the team is X. The second team’s name is “Merry Musketeers”. The captain of the team is Y. (Далі ведучий представляє журі та лічильну комісію).
Після представлення ведучий називає теми гри – “Books in our life” – і надає командам слово для привітання, в якому гравці повинні висловити своє розуміння ролі книги в житті кожної людини.
КОНКУРС № 1- ПРИВІТАННЯ.
Team 1: Books are full of many things that I would like to know.
Books are full of greatest men that lived long, long ago.
Books are full of countries that I would like to see.
Books are full of people that I would like to be.
Books are full of children that I would like to meet.
Books are full of sweet fruits that I would to eat.
Books are full of mountains that can be high or low.
Books are full of flowers that I would like to take.
Books are full of journeys that I would like to take.
Books are full of nice things that I would like to make.
Books are full of goods songs that I would like to sign.
Books are full of green trees that blossom every spring.
Books are full of letters that I would like to write.
Books are full of pen-friends both with black skin and white.
Books are full of many games that I would like to play.
Books are our best friends as people often say.
Team 2: A book, I think, is very like
A little golden door
That takes me into places
Where I’ve never been before.
You will be wise if you read books.
You will be educated if you read books.
You will be clever if you read books.
You will be sensible if you read books.
You will be attractive if you read books.
You will be beyond comparison if you read books.
You will be dull if you don’t read books.
You will be funny if you don’t read books.
You will be stupid if you don’t read books.
You will be silly if you don’t read books.
You will be foolish if you don’t read books.
Ведучий: And now the floor is given to the jury. It will announce the results of the first competition.
As you see the teams are ready for the competition. The members of each team understand that modern life is impossible without books. Books are really one of the greatest inventions of man. Whatever we do, wherever we go, we always need a true friend and a good teacher. This friend and teacher for us is a book.
Конкурс № 2 - розминка
(Ведучий запрошує обидві команди на сцену)
Ведучий: Well, each team has a magic basket with 3 questions. The captain of the rivals takes them out one by one and then your team will think the question over and give the answer after a minute’s discussion.
Команди підготували такі запитання:
Think of 5 books entitled after main characters’ names. (Ivanhoe, Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Robin Hood, Robinson Crusoe).
Ask the eternal question first in English, then in Ukrainian. (“To be or not to be?”)
Match the couples:
Romeo Lady Rowena
Othello Ophelia
Hamlet Desdemona
Ivanhoe Juliet
Distribute the things among the characters:
Sword – Ivanhoe
Pipe – Sherlock Holmes
Crown – King Lear
Handkerchief – Othello
What was E. Po’s hobby? (Astronomy).
Think of the books the titles of which include figures: (“Three Musketeers”, “Twelfth Night”, “Richard 3”, “Henry 4”).
Who fought for liberation of some European countries? (G. Byron).
